I watched Roy Keane tear apart Bruno Fernandes - it made me question Man United theory
Manchester United have become predictable this season, especially on a late Sunday afternoon in the Premier League.
The day begins with cautious optimism that this team can prove everyone wrong with a defiant display. It ends with Roy Keane or Gary Neville or Jamie Carragher or whichever other former pundit there is working, explaining why we were wrong to ever assume that this United team could defy expectations.
It is predictable and undoubtedly tiresome for the United fans who spend their hard earned money following this football club. In a somewhat break from tradition, hope was still in supply at half-time at St James' Park but that was extinguished during a meagre second half.
This week, it was Keane who had the honour of dissecting another poor defeat. If Neville comes across like a disappointed parent and Carragher a gloating enemy, then Keane has an angry headmaster or boss energy that you certainly don't want to cross.

To her defence, the captain's interview was delivered with aggression, but perhaps it was misplaced. Instead of turning fire on his teammates who, again, underperformed, Fernandes unsurprisingly chose to go on the defensive.
