His debut season saw him contribute to a successful FA Cup campaign and score an impressive 25 goals across all competitions, earning him Arsenal's Player of the Year award. Despite a less remarkable second season, Sanchez bounced back with a stunning 24-goal tally the following year, rapidly becoming Arsene Wenger's star player.
As 2018 dawned, speculation about his future intensified as both Manchester City and United vied for his signature. Although City eventually withdrew from the race, Sanchez made the high-profile switch to Old Trafford, trading places with Henrikh Mkhitaryan who moved in the opposite direction.
