'I tried the £5 Aldi Tan-Luxe dupe that could save shoppers £31'

There are dozens of tanning products out there, many of which can leave you looking streaky, patchy and smelling of biscuits, which is less than ideal. And as a total tanning novice, I want something quick and easy to use that will offer subtle but glowy results with absolutely minimum effort.

Tanning connoisseurs have a dedicated schedule for getting their glow on, and while I’m not one for bronzed arms and legs, I’d really rather people stop asking if I’m ill, seeing as my face is so pale.

Earlier this year, Aldi’s beauty brand Lacura launched their illuminating tanning drops, which some shoppers say are a dupe of a much more expensive product from Tan-Luxe.

Posting reviews of the £4.99 product on the Aldi website Northern Lass said: “Good product does exactly what it says, nice golden colour, I have used Tan Luxe before and Aldi's is just as good for a fraction of the price.”

Ann Lee added: “I usually use the Tan-Luxe face drops but these are just as good and much more affordable! Aldi needs to keep these in stock and perhaps introduce one for the body!”

The Tan-Luxe drops cost £36 for 30ml, while Aldi’s 28ml bottle comes in at under £5 , offering shoppers a huge saving - and they couldn’t be easier to use.

The product comes in a glass bottle with a pipette dispenser and screw on lid, so you’re unlikely to knock the tan all over your cream bedroom carpet, which is a bonus.

To apply, I put my usual amount of moisturiser - I’m still using Michelle Keegan’s fave Embryolisse , if you were wondering - into my hand and add ‘three to four’ drops of the product to the moisturiser before massaging it
