'I'm told' - Journalist reveals when Eriksen will make Spurs decision

Christian Eriksen is set to reveal his decision in the next two weeks on where his future lies amid reports linking him with a possible return to Tottenham Hotspur.

This is according to journalist Dean Jones, who has been speaking on the latest Ranks FC podcast to discuss the latest transfer news.

On Thursday afternoon, Sky Sports revealed Brentford had made their move for the Danish international with a long-term deal to keep him at the Community Stadium.

However, it is believed the 30-year-old has Champions League football on his mind for the 2022/23 campaign, which would certainly give Spurs a boost in the race to sign him up.

And with the midfielder’s current deal with the Bees running down to its final weeks, Jones expects the Dane to make his decision soon.

Jones said: “He is due to make his decision on his next club, I’m told, in the first two weeks of the transfer window. He knows what his proposals are; the clubs that are interested know what he’s looking for at this stage of his career.

“Brentford – they want him to stay, of course they do. They’ve been great for him as he works his way back. I’m personally not convinced that he’s going to choose them.

“Tottenham have been very respectful over the whole thing – they do want him, they know what he wants, and I personally think he will go back to Tottenham. But we will find out. Obviously, Man United have been talked about too, I think Newcastle as well. But Eriksen’s plan, as I’m told, is that within a fortnight, we’ll know what his next club will be.”
