"I'm hearing" - Insider now reveals major Declan Rice future update at West Ham

West Ham United are at serious risk of seeing Declan Rice depart the London Stadium because he is ‘more open than ever’ to a Hammers exit heading into the summer window, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

Rice has been on the east Londoners’ books since he was released by Chelsea at the age of 14, but there are question marks over whether he will still be at the club come the start of next season.

According to 90min, Manchester United are prepared to break their transfer record in order to land Rice.

The report suggests the 29-cap England international and his representatives have made it clear to West Ham that they feel this year is the right time for him to move on from the London Stadium and the Red Devils are keen to make him their marquee signing of the summer.

However, Hammers boss David Moyes is keen to retain Rice’s services and, as a result, has insisted Rice will not be sold for less than £150million amid additional interest from former employers Chelsea.

While Rice has never agitated for a move, the central midfielder would reportedly prefer to head to Stamford Bridge if he were to secure a switch away from West Ham.

Three-time Premier League champion Yaya Toure has urged Rice to join a club competing in the Champions League in order to take his career to the next level.

Jones believes Rice is keen to move onto pastures new when the transfer window reopens for business in the summer.
