'I'm a tech expert - there's one Amazon Echo Black Friday deal to watch if you want to save £160'

There are just a couple of days to go until Amazon officially launches its 2023 Black Friday discounts this Friday, November 17. It may still be a week before the official November 24 date but hundreds of home tech, lifestyle, and staple items are on the cards to be reduced. And the latest £160 saving proves you don't have to wait for the sales to drop.

Covering the latest product launches has given me a sharp eye for finding a worthy tech deal as I've built up a knack for spotting when a retailer's price is simply too good to be true or when consumers should rush to the checkout. And Amazon's latest early Black Friday deal is certainly tempting - especially as you'll save more than £100.

The retailer has cut a huge £115 off the Echo Show 5 and Ring Doorbell (2nd Generation) bundle, down from its original £189.98 price to £84.99, but that's not it. A close look at the Amazon listing shows that the duo deal works out a further £54.99 cheaper than if you were to buy the two products separately, one of many reasons why I urge shoppers to save the deal.

The second reason I'd back the deal, as someone who works in the tech shopping industry, is it's the cheapest ever price that Amazon has sold it for. Which, if you don't believe me you can double-check by heading to the price history tool CamelCamelCamel. A quick check here shows that Amazon's current £84.99 price is £10 cheaper than its previously lowest £94.99 price back in October.
