I'm A Celebrity star Maura Higgins reveals revolting revenge on cheating ex before joining Love Island

Maura Higgins has earned admiration from her I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! co-stars after recounting a tale of how she got back at a cheating ex. The 33 year old Irish star, who first gained fame on Love Island's fifth season in 2019, opened up about her motivations for joining the show following a sudden split from her then-boyfriend upon discovering his infidelity.

Maura, who is currently linked to TOWIE and Strictly's Pete Wicks, shared with campmates Jane Moore and Danny Jones her story of deceit and retribution. When Jane inquired about Maura's journey to Love Island, the Irish celebrity recounted: "So I had a boyfriend at the time" - and proceeded to describe her shock at finding incriminating messages on his phone, which made her feel like she "didn't know him at all".

She went on to describe her vengeful act in full: "I had a plan and no word of a lie, when he went to the gym the next day I got his toothbrush and I filmed myself scrubbing in the verges [of the toilet], he had a dentist appointment that day!"

Maura Higgins left her fellow campmates in shock when she confessed: "I considered taking a dump on it.", reports the Mirror.

Danny couldn't help but react, saying: "You don't wanna mess with Maura! "

The Love Island star then explained how the incident motivated her to go into the villa with full force, saying: "I went in like a bull in a china shop because I was so angry about that whole thing"

Jane from Loose Women praised her spirit, commenting: "You are fierce! I love it! " and gave her a high-five. This revelation had fans rallying behind her on social media, where they expressed their support.
