I feel sorry for Ruben Amorim - Liverpool trip is going to be a painful afternoon for Man United

Manchester United head to Liverpool on Sunday afternoon with very little hope of coming back from Anfield with a win against their big rivals.

Arne Slot's side head into the weekend six points clear at the top of the Premier League table, with a game in hand over their rivals, and 23 points ahead of Ruben Amorim's side.

United have fallen to 14th in the Premier League table, with Monday's 2-0 defeat to Newcastle at Old Trafford their fourth successive loss in all competitions.

As such, a number of prominent pundits are giving them very little chance of turning their fortunes around against Liverpool, with BBC Sport pundit Chris Sutton going as far to say he feels sorry for Amorim for the situation he has inherited since his arrival in November.

With all that in mind, here is a round-up of how the pundits see Sunday's game playing out.

The former Blackburn and Celtic forward told BBC Sport: "The historic rivalry between these two clubs is intense but, on the pitch, the contest is not even close at the moment.
