"I don't see it" - Stefan Ortega drops clearest hint yet about his Man City future

Stefan Ortega is leaning towards remaining a Manchester City player next season, offering an encouraging update on his future after the Blues' title celebrations on Sunday.

Ortega started the final day win over West Ham due to Ederson's injury, helping City to the three points they needed to seal the Premier League title following his heroics off the bench at Tottenham a few days before.

His three saves in North London, including the defining one-on-one save against Son Heung-min, increased calls from supporters for Ortega to get more action next season. Earlier this year, he suggested he could seek a transfer in the summer to play more often.

With a second child on the way, Ortega said he would have to make his decision for family reasons as well as footballing ones, however he also said he would be more than happy to remain at the Etihad. City want him to stay and contract talks are ongoing, and Pep Guardiola has reiterated his desire that Ortega is at the club next season to continue to push Ederson.

Speaking on the pitch to Sky Sports Germany on Sunday, Ortega offered a brief - but encouraging - update on his future, saying no offers or projects have been presented to him that would tempt him to depart.

"There's not many reasons that speak against staying here," he said. "I think I played 19 games so I'm getting my game time. I feel good here, my family feels good. There has to be something [an offer] that's so much better [than City]. And I don't see that at the moment,"
