“I don’t see anyone better” – QPR fan pundit offers his verdict on Mark Warburton’s future

Queens Park Rangers currently find themselves eighth in the Championship and two points away from the play-off positions.

After finishing ninth in the league last season, the fans had been hoping that the next stage of that would be a play-off finish.

Although that is still possible for them to achieve with four losses in their previous five games, one of which came against relegation battling Peterborough United, it’s starting to feel like the play-off dream could be fading away from them.

Manager Mark Warburton has been in the role since 2019 and under his leadership, the team has seen progression going from finishing 19th the season before he arrived, to 13th in his first season and ninth last season.

However, if they miss out on the play-offs this year, there will naturally be questions surrounding whether Warburton is the man to take the side forward.

We asked FLW’s QPR fan pundit Charlie whether he thinks Warburton should be dismissed if his side fail to finish in the top six: “Come the end of the season and if QPR don’t finish top six I still feel as though the wrong decision would be to dismiss Mark Warburton.
