'I can't cope with the state of my bungalow, and I can only fight so long'
A woman said she 'can't cope' with problems with mould and damp in her home for any longer - with the issue affecting her physical and mental health.
Lisa Agley said her bungalow in Huddersfield has suffered from 'significant damp' for the past five years, Yorkshire Live reports. The 48-year-old council tenant claimed that during this time, she has suffered with 'breathing difficulties' and a number of other health issues.
She said she is at the 'end of her tether' as she claimed the mould also ruined some of her clothes and handbags. "I have made numerous reports in relation to the damp, with different damp and mould specialists visiting with no successful changes made," Lisa said.

She said tests inside her bungalow revealed higher than normal humidity in all the rooms. She added: "Some of the health issues reported to my GP are asthma, dry eye, sinus infections and numerous flare ups of my fibromyalgia.
"I also have breathing difficulties. Over the past five years I have had my belongings damaged by the damp as well.
"At times I have been at the end of my tether, and felt as if I've been dismissed and ignored. As you can imagine this has had a detrimental impact on my emotional wellbeing."
Lisa, formerly of Todmorden, said the local authority, Kirklees Council, provided her with a dehumidifier in 2020 but she says it was far too noisy and sounded like a 'jet engine'. She told YorkshireLive that she has repeatedly complained to the local authority but said that the issue had not been resolved.
