I camped overnight for this - meet the Man City super fans who have never seen their side play

There's a video of fans crying at the opportunity to meet Jack Grealish and pose for photos in New York this week. And as Manchester City players walked from their team hotel to a training session in Central Park, they were mobbed by fans.

City shut down a downtown street for a promotional event which saw their new third kit launched, and they have a pop-up shop in the iconic Rockefeller Center. Even before a handful of players arrived on Thursday, the shop was packed and doing a steady trade.

Outside, queues were snaking around the block as fans hoped to be one of the 100 lucky enough to guarantee a meet and greet with Ederson and Josko Gvardiol.

"We've been here since 11pm last night," says Steve, who camped overnight for 12 hours to ensure he was at the front of the queue with friend Rocky. They have never seen City in the flesh before but are huge fans. Steve started supporting City through his children, but they were out of the state so he was armed with shirts and memorabilia ready for the players to sign and send back to them.

Four hours later and Alex had joined them, camp chair and all. From 3am the queue steadily grew and the excitement clear. While Steve and Rocky had half-way line tickets at Yankee Stadium for the friendly vs AC Milan, Alex said the high price point meant he couldn't afford to see the game live. This was the closest he would get to seeing his idols.

By the end of the event, City shirts were all over the Rockefeller Plaza, including the new maroon third kit which went on sale at the shop
