Hurling round up: Laois, Tyrone, Sligo and Warwickshire through to Allianz Hurling League finals

Laois are through to the Allianz Hurling League Division 2A final following a 1-24 to 0-13 victory over Down at Laois Hire O'Moore Park.

Paddy Purcell netted for the midlanders and Aaron Dunphy fired over 0-07 to set up a date with Carlow in the decider.

Down did start well with Pearse Óg McCrickard and Tom Prenter pointing but Laois quickly gained control and were nine points clear at the break.

The first-half goal-fest continued with Sean Og Grogan and Lorcan Devlin raising green flags for Tyrone, Kelly grabbing his second for Donegal, as the visitors led 4-05 to 3-03 at the interval.

Tiernan Morgan grabbed a fifth goal for Tyrone soon after the restart and although Brian McIntyre, Conor Gartland and Oisin Marley helped to bring the deficit down, the Red Hands held on.

In Division 3A, Sligo set up an all-Connacht final with Mayo as they defeated Cavan 0-22 to 1-14 at Markievicz Park.
