Hunt for further remains continues in Salford murder investigation

A hunt for further body parts is continuing as part of huge murder investigation in Salford. Cadaver dogs, specially trained to find human remains are being used at four locations.

Forensic officers, others from Tactical Aid Units and underwater divers are being deployed to seek remains and evidence to assist the investigation. The places being searched are a house in Worsley Road, Winton, Eccles; Blackleach Reservoir at Walkden; Colliery Wood at Linnyshaw, between Walkden and Swinton; and a storage unit at Woolfield Trading Estate in Bury.

The victim at the centre of the investigation was named today as 67-year-old Stuart Everett. The probe was launched by Greater Manchester Police on April 4th after body parts - a lower back, buttocks, and a thigh - were found at Kersal Dale. Further remains were then uncovered at Blackleach Reservoir by police divers and Colliery Wood over the weekend.

The force added: "Our fast-moving investigation has rapidly progressed over the last three days, and throughout the investigation, we have seen
