Hull KR talking points: Attacking threat, injures, and regrouping after break

Hull KR suffered their fourth consecutive defeat yesterday at the hands of Catalans Dragons, who left Sewell Group Craven Park with a 20-8 victory.

After a spirited start, Tony Smith's men ran out of steam in the second half and produced another poor showing in attack.

Here are the three main taking points from yesterday's defeat.

As much as the first-half performance yesterday was an improvement on recent weeks. The brutal realisation is that Rovers have scored two tries in 320 minutes of rugby league.

As stated by Tony Smith earlier in the week, Rovers were low on confidence heading into the game, which was shown once again with the Robins failing to capitalise on a good passage of territory late in the first half.

The Robins once again looked stumped for ideas once Catalans got to grips with the game and offered very little threat with the ball in hand after the interval, with some poor execution and silly errors creeping into the game for the Red and Whites when camped in the Catalans half.

It's worth remembering that Rovers are missing their starting half-backs in Mikey Lewis and Jordan Abdull, but injuries are part and parcel of the game.

Crossing the whitewash twice in four games is below-par for any club, never mind a team who wants to be pushing for a playoff spot come the end of the season.

Rovers suffered three more injuries in the defeat to the Dragons, with Dean Hadley, Matty Storton and Will Dagger all leaving the field after tacking knocks to the head. But the injury front is looking up for Tony Smith, who stated in his post-match press conference that the trio should all be ready to face Salford Red Devils in two-weeks time, with Sam Wood and Mikey
