Hull KR's Mikey Lewis compared to rugby league legend and tipped for World Cup spot

If there's one thing all rugby league fans can agree on, it's that Hull KR star Mikey Lewis is box office and gets people off their feet The 21-year-old stole the show at Magic Weekend, scoring a hattrick and producing a fantastic outing, even in defeat.

On the most recent episode of the "Show Me The Money" podcast, agent and owner of the agency Craig Harrison spoke in depth about the potential and generational talent Rovers have in Lewis and how his attitude and eagerness will see him go far in the game.

The Hull derby needs no introduction and is a ticket seller in itself. Still, Harrison believes Mikey Lewis has the X-Factor to light up the famous tie and how he has the potential to build a serious rivalry with a certain Hull FC ace.

"He's box office," said Harrison. "You've got Mikey doing a Connor McGregor walk to the FC fans saying guys, you want more of this because you're getting it. I said it on a podcast two years ago, if a player is made for the Hull derby, it's Mikey Lewis, but on top of that, the Hull derby needs him,"

"Let's hope he plays in a lot more, and you've got Jake Connor at FC who brings that for them as well. Those two players have got a lot of similar traits. They are competitive, don't care too much about the rugby around them, but just love playing the game. They love to play, and you can see it in their eyes. I knew Mikey would go for Gale at the derby because last month we were talking about who is the king of Hull? with Mikey saying, I'm the new king!."
