Hull KR player ratings for season so far as Ryan Hall shines but others get 2, 3 and 4s
Many things have happened on and off the field at Sewell Group Craven Park since the opening round one defeat to Wigan. Hull KR have reached a semi-final, seen their head coach announce his departure from the club in the most unusual way, purchased the rights to the stadium, and already announced who the next man in charge at the club will be going forward in 2023.
While so much has happened on the field, Rovers have produced a mixed bag of performances on the pitch. From the fast-paced complete performances over Warrington and Castleford to the flat, dejected outings like last weekend's dismal display against Huddersfield.
So with round 12 on the horizon, Hull Live rates the first half of the season for the Rovers players who have featured in four or more games in 2022 as we give our season so far player ratings.
The fullback is Hull KR's main attacking threat for sure. Coote has shown his class when featuring for Rovers this year. However, a few niggling injuries have kept him from consistently featuring for the Robins. The former Saints man will be hoping for an injury-free run into the end of the year to provide his teammates with the best possible chance of making the play-offs.
Crooks has become a consistent performer for Rovers since joining at the back end of 2018. Not for the lack of trying, the outside back is guilty of being caught out in defence and coming up with several costly errors so far in 2022, which he needs to eradicate out of his game if he wants to extend his stay at the club beyond this year.
His start to the season literally couldn't have gone any worse. Takairangi wasn't in the right frame of mind to be representing the club on the pitch and was stood down until his court case was due.
