Man of Steel 2022: Mitchell Pearce climbs the table to third

Catalans half-back Mitchell Pearce now sits third in the Man of Steel table following the latest round of Super League action. 

The 33-year-old former NRL man claimed two points following his side’s 20-8 victory over Hull KR on Saturday. It takes his total tally to 12 for the season.

Captain Ben Garcia collected three points, doubling his tally for the year. Despite the defeat, Hull KR winger Ryan Hall received one point.

St Helens winger Tommy Makinson collected the maximum points of three following his side’s hard fought victory last Thursday. Full-back Jack Welsby received two.

Featuring at full-back and scoring the first try of the game, Gareth Widdop collects one point. He has two for the season.

Salford half-back and goal-kicker Marc Sneyd received the three points following their impressive win over Castleford at the AJ Bell Stadium.

Scoring a hat-trick on the day, Joe Burgess was rewarded with two Man of Steel points. On the losing side, Jake Trueman received one point.

Huddersfield skipper Luke Yates collected three points – taking his tally to seven for the season.

Toulouse winger Matty Russell, a try scorer on the day, received two points. Scoring a brace, Innes Senior collected his first point of the season so far.

Rohan Smith recorded his win as head coach of the Rhinos following their triumph over Wakefield on Friday. James Bentley received his first points of the season – collecting the maximum of three. However, the back-rower also received a three-match ban for a shot on opponent Thomas Minns. He will miss games against Warrington, Huddersfield and St Helens.

Brett Hodgson’s Hull made it six straight home wins in a row following their 31-22 victory over Challenge Cup finalists Wigan.
