Hull KR chase ambitious deal for State of Origin tipped NRL star

Hull KR are looking to pull off a major coup after showing interest in Parramatta Eels centre Tom Opacic. Hull Live understands that Rovers have plotted an ambitious play for the 27-year-old, who is off-contract at the end of the season.

It's thought the Robins have put the feelers out with the representatives of Opacic, who has played in nine of the 13 NRL games for Brad Arthur's Eels. Opacic made his NRL debut in 2016 for Brisbane Broncos against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and has made 73 appearances in the competition, scoring 23 tries during stints at the Broncos, North Queensland Cowboys, and now the Parramatta Eels. This season, Opacic has made 631 metres in attack, including 20 tackle breaks and one assist. He also bodes a tackle efficiency of 88.9% to his name, missing only 16 of 128 attempts.

Hull Live revealed last week that Brisbane Broncos prop Rhys Kennedy was actively pursuing a move to Sewell Group Craven Park in order to reunite with Peters in Super League.
