Nathan Baxter says he hasn't given up hope of returning to Chelsea this summer in a bid to prove he's worthy of a chance at Stamford Bridge under manager Thomas Tuchel. The 23-year-old stopper may have endured a difficult afternoon for Hull City at Bristol City on Saturday, conceding five in a hapless display, but has been superb for the Tigers during a season punctured by injury and is one of the Tigers' key summer transfer targets.
Baxter, who is on a season-long loan from the Premier League club will return to the King's Road this summer to have talks about his future with the Blues, but Tigers head coach Shota Arveladze and owner Acun Ilicali both want the goalkeeper to remain at the MKM Stadium as they look to build a squad capable of challenging at the opposite end of the Championship table next term, though, he's philosophical about his future ambitions.
The goalkeeper is understood to be open to making a permanent move to East Yorkshire, should he be told his long-term future is away from Stamford Bridge, though City will face strong competition
