Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris has given a rare insight into what it is like in the Spurs dressing room ahead of a game.

Appointed as Tottenham captain by Mauricio Pochettino back in 2015, the veteran goalkeeper also does likewise for France and captained Les Bleus to World Cup success in Russia back in 2018.

Given his huge experience in the game after making his professional debut all the way back in October 2005 for Nice, Lloris is a key figure at Spurs who everyone respects.

Having the authority to get his point across before and after a match due to his role as captain, the 35-year-old has revealed that Harry Kane, Eric Dier and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg are also very vocal as they try to lead the team to victory.

"To be honest I don't have a proper routine. It depends my feeling, it depends the day," said Lloris on his pre-match preparations when asked on Twitch as part of a Q&A to celebrate his 400 appearances for the Lilywhites.

"When I come into the changing room I just go for a massage to warm a little bit the legs. Then there is the preparation with the other goalkeepers and then we go onto the field to do the warm-up.

"When we come back I change the clothes and put the jersey on. Then there is the collective preparation."

When pressed on how natural it is for him to do his speech before entering the field of play, Lloris added: "It depends the feeling, it depends. Also it's not only my responsibility as there are also important
