Hugh Jackman pops into Lake District pub for a pint and a kebab

Greatest Showman Hugh Jackman left locals 'gobsmacked' after casually dropping into their Lake District pub while on a late summer holiday break.

The Hollywood superstar might be from Down Under but he clearly loves it up north, and has been seen travelling around the Yorkshire Dales over the past week. Then he tried the Lakes.

The 54-year-old Aussie was spotted tucking into a kebab and washing it down with a pint of Guinness at the Watermill Inn and Brewery, in Ings, near Lake Windermere on Tuesday (September 5).

The sighting of the actor comes as a strike by actors halted film production in Hollywood. He was previously spotted at The Courtyard Dairy cheese shop, in Austwick, north Yorkshire, and taking pictures of an egg stall in the nearby town of Silsden.

Clyde said the superstar had been a really pleasant customer and later agreed to take a photo with staff
