Huge rush hour queues on M60 due to 'emergency repairs' - live updates
Huge rush hour queues are building on the M60 this evening due to 'emergency repairs' being carried out.
Only one lane is currently in use anti-clockwise at Junction 11 - A57 Liverpool Road (Barton).
Two of the three lanes have been closed.
Congestion is building as far as junction 18 according to Transport for Greater Manchester.
Traffic first started building shortly after 4.30pm.
The nature of the repairs are not yet known.

Normal traffic conditions are expected to have returned by 6.30 pm.
Congestion is also affecting traffic coming off the M62/M602.

National Highways North West confirmed that emergency bridge repairs are the cause of heavy congestion this evening.
There are currently delays of 30 minutes against expected traffic.
According to live AA traffic updates, congestion is building on the M61 Southbound at the junction with the M60.
An update said: "Slow traffic on M61 Southbound from J3 (Kearsley Spur) to J1 M60 J15 (Swinton Interchange)."
