Huge police cordon after three teenagers stabbed following 'gang fight'

A busy road through Liverpool has been taped off after three teenage boys were stabbed following a 'gang fight'. Emergency services have swarmed Townsend Lane, in Clubmoor, following reports of a group fighting in the street at around 9.45pm last night (September 7).

Police remain at the scene this morning, with a major cordon in place. Three 16-year-old boys have been arrested on suspicion of section 18 wounding and affray following the alleged brawl.

It was reported that a 16-year-old boy ran into a nearby shop following the fight. There, he was attacked by a man armed with a knife, the Liverpool Echo reports.

Officers are now carrying out CCTV and house-to-house enquiries. Anyone with information is being urged to come forward.

Detective Inspector Michael Fletcher, of Merseyside Police, said: "This was clearly a serious incident that has resulted in three teenagers requiring hospital treatment for serious injuries. We are in the early stages of an investigation to establish what has taken place and officers remain in the area at this time.

"The community will understandably be concerned by this incident and let me reassure them that we are taking this extremely seriously. Our officers are
