Huge blow for Spurs, Conte handed big headache: Major setback emerges before Everton - opinion

Oliver Skipp has been sidelined due to injury for some time now and is set to miss the game on Monday night against Everton.

Skipp has been heavily involved in the Spurs side this season when fit, featuring 18 times in the Premier League alone, according to Transfermarkt.

The last time Skipp played however was on the 23rd of January against Chelsea in the Premier League when Spurs lost 2-0 at Stamford Bridge.

Skipp has produced impressive performances this season for Spurs after last season’s successful Championship campaign with Norwich. In a few games before his injury, he shone brightly against Crystal Palace and was given a rating of 7.4, as per Sofascore, as he helped his side win 3-0.

Who will feature instead of Skipp?

It is almost a given that Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg will feature in the heart of midfield for Spurs, having featured 23 times in this Premier League season, so it just remains to be seen who will partner the Denmark international in midfield.

Conte has announced that Rodrigo Bentancur is available for selection on Monday night, but he hasn’t
