Huge Andre Onana call made and Casemiro U-turn - Manchester United predicted XI vs Newcastle

There's always a lot of interest over Ruben Amorim's team selections, given his tendency to shuffle his pack, but the spotlight will be on one selection in particular today.

Andre Onana endured a torrid evening in Lyon on Thursday. The Manchester United goalkeeper was locked in a war of words with Nemanja Matic prior to the game, and it was the Lyon midfielder who had the last laugh after Onana committed two big mistakes to deny United a first leg lead ahead of the rematch at Old Trafford on Thursday.

Amorim named an unchanged XI for the first time in his United tenure for the clash in France, though it's fair to assume he won't make it a third game without changes.

With Altay Bayindir available for selection again after injury, the Turkey international should be given the nod in goal, allowing Onana some time away from the spotlight.

Noussair Mazraoui can continue in the back three alongside Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro. The latter scored his first goal for the club against Lyon and is beginning to settle into his role at the club.

Patrick Dorgu and Diogo Dalot should start in the wing-back roles, but a change is needed in midfield.
