Huddersfield Town pre-season fixtures and key dates as Tranmere Rovers friendly announced

Huddersfield Town have announced their fifth pre-season friendly of the summer, revealing they will visit Prenton Park to face Tranmere Rovers on Saturday 23rd July.

The Terriers will kick off that game at midday with a separate XI playing away to Bolton Wanderers later that afternoon, echoing their away double-header against Harrogate Town and Doncaster Rovers the previous week. The Terriers last visited Tranmere January 2012 for a League One game, with Jordan Rhodes scoring for Town in a 1-1 draw.

Scheduling two games in one day allows Carlos Corberan and his coaching staff to keep the full squad on the same recovery schedule throughout pre-season, which will come to an end when the new Championship campaign gets under way on the weekend of 30th July.

The Terriers will also have four days at the national training ground, St George’s Park in Staffordshire, as they prepare for the new season hoping to push for promotion once again after an excellent 2021/22 season.
