How will Ross Wilson's Rangers spell be remembered and is Steven Naismith management material? Saturday Jury

Scott Burns: There is no doubt his stay will split opinion. He can point to record transfers, a title and Scottish Cup along with a Europa League final appearance. There are others who will continue to lay the finger of blame for Rangers not kicking on after their last title win. He can definitely leave with his head held high.

Fraser Wilson: A real rollercoaster in terms of signings, sales and on-field success. Unfortunately for Wilson and Rangers over his term they’ve come second to Celtic on all three scores and ultimately those are the three areas he will always be judged.

Michael Gannon: Rangers fans practically packed his bags but Wilson did have some successes at Ibrox. Joe Aribo and Calvin Bassey were bargain buys who banked the club fortunes, but he does leave a big rebuilding job in his wake.

Scott: It will all come down to whether or not he finishes third. If he doesn’t then I think he is unlikely to get the Hearts job. I would still back Aberdeen to finish third, as it stands. Regards, Naismith has a decent enough standing in the game to get a crack at management either now or further down the line.

Fraser: I’m sure he’ll be a top manager in the future but right now this is a huge gamble. Naismith’s been dropped into the pressure cooker with a £5m ticket to Europe at stake and an Edinburgh derby in Leith to start. He says he’s ready. I fear this task may have come too soon.

Michael: He definitely has a whiff of manager material about him as he’s driven, determined and a student of the game. He has his work cut out to get Hearts going again but the Jambos might see enough to allow him a crack in the long term.
