How to watch Man Utd v Celtic legends: TV, kick off and live stream details for star-studded charity match

Manchester United and Celtic will to go head-to-head this weekend in a Legends match.

Celtic and Manchester United have enjoyed close links over the years with the latter succeeding the Hoops as European champions when Jock Stein’s men became the first British side to win the trophy in 1967. Celtic have also been invited by a host of United legends to provide opposition for testimonial matches including Robson himself and Bryan Brian McClair and Roy Keane - who starred for both sides - as well as Ryan Giggs.

Now, in a friendly game in aid of the MU Foundation, the players are hoping to top the staggering £1.3 million that was raised for the charity when the Man United legends took on Liverpool two years ago. Red Devils legend Bryan Robson will be charge of the United team alongside Andy Cole, with Paul Lambert in charge of Hoops XI.

All proceeds from Saturday's upcoming event will go towards funding young people across Manchester and beyond. It will help educate youngsters on the inner workings of a football club to improve confidence, life skills as well as employability. Here Record sport has all the details on how to watch the friendly..

The game will take place at the Old Trafford Stadium on Saturday, September 7 with kick off at 2pm. Coverage begins at 1pm.

The game will be live streamed on MUTV for those who could not get tickets to the match.
