How should the SPFL handle the Rangers pyro row and who will be in the Viaplay Cup final? Saturday Jury

DAVID MCCARTHY:Aberdeen were impressive at Fir Park in midweek and can edge past Hibs, although it might take extra time. Rangers should beat Hearts more comfortably than they did at Ibrox last week.

MICHAEL GANNON: We’re in for two cracking ties. Rangers have had a major bounce under Philippe Clement and will edge out Hearts. The other clash could go either way as both sides have firepower. It could go all he way before the Dons do it on pens.

FRASER WILSON: Saturday's semi is right in the balance between two sides capable of being terrific and terrible but if push comes to shove Aberdeen will edge it. Rangers are coming onto a game and should be too strong for Hearts.

DAVID: It’s difficult without strict liability. Appealing to those who bring them in won’t work, so stricter searching before entry is allowed is a must. That means more stewards and more costs, and is also a hassle to the fans who just want to go and watch their team.

MICHAEL: It’s a tough one. Fines won’t work and points deductions is a can of worms that can’t be opened. It might need stands being ordered to be closed or away tickets denied.

FRASER: Tougher security is required first and foremost. After that then partial closure of grounds is the fairest punishment. I just don’t get the fascination with pyro for grown adults? They don’t look good and are seriously dangerous. Clubs don’t want them in the stands and players don’t want them during games.

DAVID: Craig Levein knows his stuff and has all the experience in the world. If Saints can get him, they’ve won a watch.

MICHAEL: It looks a thankless task with ownership issues and budgets being slashed. It is a job for an experienced gaffer who can deal with all of that stuff, and Levein more than fits
