How Rajasthan Royals Coach Helped Yashasvi Jaiswal In His Journey To Excellence? Father Reveals

It has been a sensational couple of months for Indian cricket team batter Yashasvi Jaiswal as he slammed two consecutive double centuries against England in the ongoing five-match Test series. Jaiswal, who made his name in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the domestic circuit, has been a revelation in Test cricket and has earned praise from both fans and experts alike. In a recent interaction, Jaiswal's father opened up about his son's success and revealed the role that Zubin Bharucha, the performance director of Rajasthan Royals, played in guiding the youngster throughout his career. He also recalled how Bharucha personally trained Jaiswal ahead of the IPL seasons while playing for RR.

"Along with Yashasvi, his coach Zubin Barucha has worked a lot. He used to go himself and personally train him. Barucha used to keep on grinding Yashasvi till he fell on the ground. It is because of him that Yashasvi has reached these heights," Yashasvi Jaiswal's father said on India Today.

"The entire family is happy and is distributing sweets," he further added.

Meanwhile, Jaiswal's father Bhupendra shared a list of delicacies his son likes to savour on. On the top of the list is mutton.

"He is very fond of mutton, and he likes rice, daal, breads and curry," Jaiswal's father said.

Yashasvi has a long range of shots that he can play, but one of the shots that his father particularly enjoys watching is the sweep shot.

"He plays the sweep shot beautifully, and he works a lot on it," his father said.

In the match against England at Rajkot, Jaiswal hit a 12 sixes in the second innings. In the process, he matched Wasim Akram's record of hitting the most number of maximums in a single Test innings.
