Nottingham Forest's vociferous fanbase could provide the perfect environment for transfer target Issa Kabore to continue his development.

The Reds are understood to be tracking the 21-year-old's availability as an alternative to Djed Spence after he had an impressive breakthrough season in France. Kabore, one of a number of talented youngsters at Manchester City, has spent the last 12 months at the Citizens' sister club Troyes.

Kabore, an attack-minded defender, featured 31 times in Ligue 1. He also helped Burkina Faso reach the semi-finals of the African Cup of Nations, where he was named young player of the tournament after registering three assists.

The City Ground is becoming an excellent environment for youngsters to improve with the likes of Brennan Johnson, Djed Spence and James Garner all thriving under head coach Steve Cooper. It means Forest could make a strong pitch to Pep Guardiola and his staff given Cooper's excellent reputation for developing young talent.
