How much Arsenal players have been forced to pay in fines amid shocking red card record revealed

Arsenal’s poor disciplinary record under current boss Mikel Arteta is certainly well-known.

Whilst they are not too significantly damaging to a Premier League footballer’s pay packet, the sheer volume of red cards throughout Arteta’s reign has actually seen the current crop of Arsenal stars fork out hundreds in fines.

As per the FA rules, red cards for violent conduct and serious foul play incur three-match automatic suspensions and a £55 fine.

Elsewhere, a dismissal for two bookable offences or denying an obvious goal-scoring opportunity carry a lower £35 fine. Both punishments are inclusive of a £15 administrative fee.

So, taking into account the 15 red cards that Arsenal have been awarded during Arteta’s reign, it means that the squad have been forced to pay a minimum of £625 for their actions.
