How Manchester United should line up vs Wolves in Premier League fixture

Manchester United begin the new Premier League campaign with a game against Wolves on Monday night.

United finished third in the league, won the Carabao Cup and reached the FA Cup final last season and following the signings of Mason Mount, Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund, another strong showing is expected.

The Premier League fixtures kicked off on Friday night and Erik ten Hag's side have a golden opportunity to start the campaign with three points, as Wolves replaced Julen Lopetegui with Gary O'Neil just five days ago.

Regarding team news for the game, Anthony Martial returned to full training last week and will be available, but new signing Hojlund is sidelined with a back problem, which is forcing him to wait for his debut.

United should go with the same side that beat Lens. They played well, created ample chances and those players will have match rhythm.

Diogo Dalot did not cover himself in glory against Lens but he is the better right-back who needs to regain form. Marcus Rashford is not an ideal focal point up front as he is better on the left but the pay-off is Alejandro Garnacho is on the wing and he has been gathering momentum in pre-season.

With Hojlund sidelined with a minor back injury, there is uncertainty around just a few starting positions for the opening game and there is obviously a decision to be made at right-back between Wan-Bissaka and Dalot.
