How Lawrence and Roofe would fit into Rangers XI after Michael Beale reveal as new boys settle for watching brief

After a thrilling encounter with PSV Eindhoven Michael Beale appears to be bringing the best out of his revamped squad as they head north to face Ross County.

But with nine new recruits in the door at Rangers the puzzle of a revamped squad may not quite have been solved with Tom Lawrence available for his first competitive appearance in almost a year alongside Kemar Roofe who returns to the squad for the trip to the Highlands - with Beale insisting he sees both players as starters in his side this term. Neither are expected to be handed a start with the duo working up to full fitness - but a shake up could be on the cards of the Ibrox starting line-up.

Roofe has faced an injury-plagued campaign last term only managing six appearances in all competitions but has slowly been ramping up his return behind the scenes at Auchenhowie - making cameos off the bench against Kilmarnock and Morton so far this term. Rabbi Matondo will also be hoping to make a claim for a spot in the front three after a disappointing first season. However, a major role for Roofe could see the attacker spend another season watching on from the sidelines.
