How Ian Watson attended Huddersfield Giants' game despite being forced into isolation

Questions were raised when Ian Watson was notably absent from his usual touchline position ahead of Huddersfield Giants' game with Leeds Rhinos. The Giants boss regularly watches the game from the sidelines but wasn't spotted before or at the start of the game.

Curiosity spiked further when Watson emerged in an empty stand as the game kicked off. Watson sat behind the sticks and remained in position as the game went on.

Watson had also missed the club's pre-match press conference, leading to many assuming something was amiss. Low and behold, that proved to be the case.

Rugby League Live can reveal the Giants boss is currently isolating, hence why he was unable to be around his coaching staff and players. The Giants have not confirmed why their head coach has been forced to isolate at this stage.

Nevertheless, it didn't stop him from attending his side's game against Leeds Rhinos and his presence didn't seem to be missed a great deal as they raced into a 22-4 half-tie lead.
