How hot it will be in UK next week as temperatures set to soar

Temperatures are set to get "much warmer" for many parts of the UK, according to the Met Office.

Forecasters predict that conditions across the final week of June will remain much more settled than previous weeks with less, but still a small amount, of rain mainly affecting parts of the north west. For the most part, conditions will be much drier and warmer with an increased chance of each day getting a bit warmer.

Longer range forecasts for the end of next week are still uncertain, however, it currently seems likely that temperatures will drop towards the average for this time of year or continue to stay slightly above average.

At first some thicker cloud could bring some outbreaks of mostly light rain, this mainly affecting northwestern areas.

"However for most it will be dry throughout, and likely to turn increasingly warm as we move into next week. Predominantly fine and settled through the period and for much of the country turning much warmer than we have seen in recent weeks.
