How can I watch Welcome to Wrexham for just £1.99? Season two details and how to get Disney+ deal

One of the biggest shows of last year, Welcome to Wrexham, is back for a second season this week.

The first series was a critical and commercial success that shed a light on the inner workings of the football club and Wrexham's National League promotion bid in the 2021-22 season after the club was bought by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney in November 2020.

Reynolds, best known for his two Deadpool films and for starring in a number of hit comedies, and McElhenney, who people will know from cult TV show 'It's Always in Philadelphia,' may have been the eye-catching aspect of the show but viewers quickly learnt that the docu-series was about to much more than the fish out of water concept.

The focus of the first season was firmly on the team, the fans and the town itself as Wrexham enjoyed a renaissance under the stewardship of the ownerships. The Red Dragons consequently enjoyed a rollercoaster of a campaign where they ultimately fall short, losing 4-3 to Grimsby Town in the play-off semi finals.

Welcome to Wrexham is back to take you behind the scenes at the Welsh club following the superstar takeover by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. Season two will give viewers unmissable access to Wrexham's successful promotion from the National League after an intense battle with Nott County.

Limited offer of £1.99 a month for three months

The first season was also integral for introducing the rest of the world to goalscoring talisman Paul Mullin, manager Phil Parkinson and those behind the scenes at the club. When the final episode of Welcome to Wrexham season one aired in October, McElhenney confirmed a second season would be on the way.

We can expect season two to take us behind the scenes of Wrexham's return
