There’s a bumper day of National Hunt racing ahead on Wednesday with the Cheltenham Festival now just 34 days away.

Action takes place domestically at Ludlow, Sedgefield and Fakenham while there’s also Fairyhouse on in Ireland. Flat fans will be catered for with a twilight card at Kempton.

Over at Fairyhouse, Discorama is the star name in the Rated Steeplechase at 1:45 and Paul Nolan’s nine-year-old is being prepped for another tilt at the Aintree Grand National.

Sir Alex Ferguson has a runner at Ludlow and Lakota Warrior, whom he owns in partnership with John Hales, will be a warm order from the in-form Dan Skelton team.

Drombear appears to have been found a facile opportunity up at Sedgefield and could end up being one of the shortest priced runners of the season in the Novice Hurdle at 2.37.

The fields may be small at Fakenham but there are no less competitive for it. Just four head to post for the Little Snoring Handicap Hurdle at 3:52 and Ballyandy takes a marked drop in grade for the Nigel Twiston-Davies team.

The 11-year-old won the 2016 Champion Bumper at Prestbury Park and was a runner up at Cheltenham as recently as two years ago but, second at Wetherby last time out, has dropped in class of race.
