Horizon Forbidden West: Game back on top of UK boxed charts
Horizon Forbidden West has returned to No.1 in the UK boxed sales charts due to the help of an official PS5 bundle including the game.
GamesIndustry.biz reports that the Guerrilla Games release is back at the top of the chart three months after it first released onto the next-gen console.
Amazingly, the sales rose 94% week-on-week and it comes on the back of the release of the official PS5 bundle that includes Horizon.
That means that Nintendo Switch Sports has dropped into No.2.
As we wrote in an article last week, buying that actually means a saving of £20 when compared with the price of buying the PS5 and Horizon separately.
The report claims that the release of more PS5 stock has boosted sales on the console, with Gran Turismo 7 and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart both in the top 20. The former saw sales rise 38%, while the latter saw sales jump by a staggering 275%.
There are a couple of new releases from this month that have entered the top 20, too: Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong is in at No.20, while Evil Dead – The Game is at No.12 after debuting at No.5.
Amazingly, both Grand Theft Auto 5, and FIFA 22, remain in the top 10, proving the legs that both franchises have. It’s all the more impressive for the latter, given that the Premier League season finished at the weekend, and many players will now be looking towards FIFA 23’s inevitable release later this year.
