Manchester City's academy side are in Germany to take on Hoffenheim in their UEFA Youth League last-16 tie.
The under-19s progressed to this stage by beating FC Midtjylland away from home in the previous round having come through their six-game League Phase. That was a first knockout victory in the Youth League in seven years for Ben Wilkinson's youngsters, who are looking to improve their record in Europe.
If City win this one-legged tie, they will set up a quarter-final away from home against Real Madrid or AZ Alkmaar, who play later on Wednesday.
After progressing through to the semi-finals of the FA Youth Cup last week, it is shaping up to be a very positive season for City's youngsters.

City have managed to fall at the first knockout hurdle in six of the last seven seasons in the UEFA Youth League - with that other season coming when there was no edition of the competition due to Covid.
In that time they have either crashed out in the group stage or lost away from home in the last-16 like the last two seasons at Hajduk Split and Mainz.
And it looked like de ja vu when City were behind at Midtjylland last month and down to ten men with ten minutes left after Jaden Heskey's own goal and an error from goalkeeper Oliver Whatmuff.
But a quick equaliser by Matty Warhurst forced penalties and it fell to Whatmuff to save from the Danes' third spot kick before stepping up to slam the deciding penalty into the back of the net and send City through.
The draw paired City with Hoffenheim in a difficult away test, with a quarter-final away to Real Madrid or AZ Alkmaar awaiting the winner of
