Hibs take Rangers ticket row to the SPFL amid Ibrox away allocation delay

Hibs are confident of landing a full away allocation for Sunday's trip to face Rangers at Ibrox after making contact with the SPFL.

Ordinarily, Scottish Premiership are able to come to an agreement over the number of tickets for away supporters, but bosses at Easter Road are now expecting the full number of briefs to be given after talks with SPFL chiefs. The Gers returned to their stadium for the first time this season last weekend when they defeated Dundee 3-0 to reach the semi-finals of the Premier Sports Cup, although all but one section of the Copland Stand remained closed. The essential renovations required in the Copland Stand meant that Philippe Clement's men had to play their first five home games of the campaign at Hampden.

Last Thursday, Hibs had issued a statement confirming their intention to seek clarification on the situation. It read: "Due to the ongoing maintenance at Ibrox, away ticket information has yet to be provided as Rangers go through the final stages of work to the Copland Road stand."
