Hibs reveal raft of Easter Road upgrades with safe standing OFFICIAL and all bankrolled by Gordon family

Hibs are set to introduce a raft of upgrades to Easter Road in time for 2024/25 including a new Safe Standing Section.

The Scottish Premiership club revealed last moth that they had been engaging with fans this season regarding the matchday experience at the club’s ground and how to improve it – with the Famous Five Lower tier implementing rail seating for next season.

The work – all funded by the family of the late owner Ron Gordon's – will begin this summer and the club held discussions with season ticket holders who will be impacted. The move would make Hibs the second club behind Celtic to have safe standing. And now the club has detailed their improvement plans which include more Accessible Seating and the reopening of ‘Behind The Goals’. Hibs have published details of their plans for improvement.

Following a consultation process with supporters, earlier this year the Club announced plans to introduce a brand-new Safe Standing section to the Famous Five Stand at Easter Road.

The new space in the Famous Five lower tier is part of a wider refurbishment project in the Famous Five Stand – aimed at improving the matchday experience and atmosphere for supporters at Easter Road. To add the Safe Standing section, the Famous Five lower tier has been restructured with a large proportion of seats being replaced by ‘Rail Seats’. The rest of the seats in the lower tier stand have either stayed the same, with a small number of seats being removed due to the reconstruction of the seating deck.
