Hibs hand Artur Boruc's cousin trial chance as Lee Johnson looks to beef up goalkeeping options next season

Hibs are running the rule over highly-rated Maksymilian Boruc.

The young Slask Wroclaw keeper is the cousin of former Celtic and Poland star Artur Boruc and Record Sport understands he is currently training with Lee Johnson’s side in a bid to try and win a deal. Boruc, 20, has a contract with Slask until 2025. He has previously had spells in England, within the youth ranks at Stoke City and West Bromwich Albion.

He kicked off his career with Swedish side Husqvarna FF. Hibs boss Johnson is looking to add to his goalkeeping options for next season. Captain David Marshall is the No. 1, while the club have high hopes for upcoming Murray Johnson. Hibs also have fellow Pole Kevin Dabrowski on their books. Dabrowski, who is out of contract in the summer, is currently on-loan at Queen of the South but expected to depart Leith in the summer for more regular first team football.
