Hibs duo should be in Premiership Team of the Year and I reckon these 3 deserve Scotland call - Tam McManus
You might struggle to believe this but I never made it into a PFA Scotland team of the season. I can only think I must have p***ed off my peers with all those goals..
But, taking my tongue out my cheek, while yours truly was never good enough to trouble a top flight select there were always a few Hibs team mates who missed out that made me think Hearts players were in charge of the voting.
It’s the same this season. Not a single mention of anyone from the form team in the top flight for the last three or four months? That seems more than a bit odd to me. Of course Celtic players should ensure the majority of that side should be wearing green and white hoops given their domination of the game again this season.
But I reckon two Hibees deserve to be in there - Martin Boyle and Nicky Cadden. Boyle has rediscovered his best form. He’s hit his best tally of goals as a top flight player and in terms of that has a better goals per game average across all competitions than Nicolas Kuhn.
The Celtic winger was sensational in the first half of the season and probably the league’s standout player. But for one reason or another his form has taken a sharp dip over the last three or four months. Right now, Boyle would definitely be in my front three.
Cadden would be close too. Suffering an injury at the worst possible time has probably robbed him of a mention. But he has been an absolute revelation on the left for Hibs - in fact I reckon he’s been the best left wing back in Scotland this season. His deliveries into the box should arrive with a health warning to defenders and he has chipped in with some big goals too.
Listen, players are lying if they told you they don’t care about these things. It’s an honour to be selected by your
