Helen Flanagan supported by famous pals including Christine McGuiness as she makes career announcement

Helen Flanagan has been flooded with support from her famous pals and fans as she made a major career announcement. The actress is famed for having appeared in Coronation Street but hasn't been seen in the ITV soap as Rosie Webster for a number of years.

More recently, the 33-year-old was seen back on ITV but this time in the first-ever spin-off of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here. Set in South Africa, the pre-recorded series, which was aired in April, saw memorable campmates from over two decades worth of series battle it out to become the first I'm A Celeb 'legend'.

But things are set to change for Helen next year as she makes a big move in her career. The mum-of-three is set to make her stage debut as Miss Scarlett in the world premiere UK tour of Cluedo 2.

She will star alongside leading West End actor and TV favourite Jason Durr, who stars as Colonel Mustard, and the national tour will include a week-long run on home turf for Helen at The Lowry theatre in Salford.

Sharing the news on Instagram, Helen posted a picture of herself sporting a vibrant red swing dress with her blonde locks in a bouffant style and pushed back with a red headband. She could also be seen brandishing a candlestick to emulate the iconic character from the classic board game.

She said: "I am super excited to announce that I will be making my stage debut as Miss Scarlett in the UK tour of 'Cluedo 2: The Next Chapter' @cluedostageplay. I can not wait to play this iconic character and start the tour early next year. Hope to see you all in a theatre
