‘Heir to Shaw’ - Manchester United fans wax lyrical over Alvaro Fernandez for assist vs Wrexham

Manchester United supporters hailed 20-year-old left-back Alvaro Fernandez for his delicious assist for Marc Jurado’s goal against Wrexham.

The Welsh side had gone 2-0 up before the two Spaniards linked up to net for United in first-half stoppage time. Fernandez won the North End's young player of the season award for his efforts at Deepdale and was named in Erik ten Hag’s senior squad for the tour of the States. The United boss was on the sidelines alongside youth development head Travis Binnion as Fernandez delivered his cracking assist.
