Hearn and Warren's 5v5 fight card: Potential match-ups for historic boxing event including heavyweight bonanza

On Saturday June 1, the sport of boxing will create a new chapter in its long and colourful history, with two of the world's leading promoters pitting five of their best fighters against each other.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will play host to Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Boxing and Frank Warren of Queensberry Promotions' "5v5" showdown on the undercard of the huge unified super-light heavyweight showdown between WBC, IBF and WBO champion Artur Beterbiev and WBA title holder Dimitry Bivol. Saudi Arabian minister for entertainment Turki Al-Sheikh's endeavour and resources have played a huge role in bringing boxing to the Middle East in recent years, and in the last eight months we have already seen superstars Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, Francis Ngannou and Deontay Wilder do battle in some stellar match ups in the country's capital city Riyadh.

The weight classes for the unprecedented showdown have now been confirmed, with Warren and Hearn each picking two divisions each while Al-Sheikh himself has chosen the final slot.

Warren has opted to go for bouts in the heavyweight and middleweight division, while Hearn has gone with the featherweight and light-heavyweight classes. Al-Sheikh has made no secret about his desire to stage the biggest fights on the planet and has therefore called on the promoters to select an additional heavyweight fight for the card for what promises to be a blockbuster night of boxing.

The identity of the fighters chosen for the event is to be keep secret until next month, when an official press conference will be held to confirm each of the match ups.
