'He looks immense' - Manchester United fans go wild over Anthony Martial goal vs Crystal Palace

Manchester United fans were left in awe of their opening goal against Crystal Palace as Anthony Martial continued his blistering run of form.

The Frenchman, who suffered a torrid season last year, bagged his third goal in as many pre-season matches as the Reds step up their preparation for the upcoming Premier League campaign. Martial - as well as Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Jadon Sancho - looked sharp from the onset at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

And it took the 26-year-old just under 20 minutes to break the deadlock. Erik ten Hag's influence during the early stages has been clear and it was evident in the build-up to the opening goal against Patrick Vieira's side.

A spell of patient build-up play saw Tyrell Malacia switch proceedings to his fellow full-back, Diogo Dalot. The Portugal international expertly found Martial with a disguised pass towards the far post, who then made no mistake in firing past the substitute Palace goalkeeper.

Moments earlier, Martial sprung the offside trap but saw his effort well saved by Jack Butland. However in making the reflex stop, the former England international had to be replaced by Remi Matthews.

United fans have been thrilled by the recent showings under Ten Hag, in particular, with Martial who continued the goalscoring form he showed against Liverpool and Melbourne Victory. Here's how they reacted on Twitter.
