'He does want to make a move' - Sky Sports reporter drops Wolves transfer update

Wolverhampton Wanderers are locked in talks with Stuttgart over the potential signing of the striker Sasa Kalajdzic.

This is according to Sky Sports’ Dharmesh Sheth who has been speaking about Bruno Lage’s search for a new goalscorer which may be heading to a conclusion.

Wolves have been struggling with finding the back of the net this season with just one goal to their tally in their opening three Premier League games.

That goal came inside the first six minutes of their curtain-raiser against Leeds United, meaning they have now gone 174 minutes of action without scoring.

And with Raul Jimenez already having suffered from an injury issue over the summer, Sheth believes a move for Kalajdzic is looking more likely:

(22:30) “They’re in talks with Stuttgart over the signing of their striker, Sasa Kalajdzic. Now the clubs at the moment are apart and quite a way apart in the valuation of the player but it should be remembered here the Austria international, Kalajdzic, has entered the final year of his contract, and it’s thought that he does want to make a move to the Premier League.”

TIF Thoughts on Sheth’s comments…

The 2020/21 campaign is probably the most recent example of what the Austrian striker is capable of having endured a difficult spell last season through injury.

Over his 33 Bundesliga appearances across the 2020/21 campaign, the 25-year-old netted 16 goals and provided six assists with a seriously impressive second half of the season to show (via Transfermarkt).

However, it is perhaps just as impressive that the striker can also provide assists with three already to his name in his opening three Bundesliga appearances this season as he searches for his first goal.
